In lieu of recent hate mail, I have to wonder why society is so very obsessed with hierarchy in any form. Why do people feel like they must constantly be better, part of something exclusive that people different to them are not a part of? Why try to one up a total stranger you’ll never meet? Does that little victory really make your day better or are you just pent up and angry and frusterated over something totally avoidable afterwards? These people are absolute and utter adreniline junkies so bored they resort to trying to provoke someone they’ve never met. There are so many better ways to get an ego boost if you’re that utterly desperate for one. They’re called friendships. Being nice actually makes you feel good about yourself.
