Anonymous asked: That "hotel room side table pic" is a fake. There are so many things wrong with it that I cannot even begin to tell you. Have you ever been in a hotel room at all? It is obvious that you have not and obvious that you have never even met a band. Why are you pretending to be something you are not and making real groupies look pathetic? Because that is how the world you are "creating" looks to real, actual groupies and is insulting to them.
Are you seriously trying to tell me you’re ‘insulted’ by somebody trying to help women get more involved in the music scene? Regardless of what you believe about the truth behind this site (and I know you’ll keep believing it’s fake) doesn’t affect the positive impact it’s had. The blog makes groupies look pathetic, really? It’d seem to me it aims to empower girls that REALLY love music to get more involved with it by learning more about it and listening to more of it, and to make their own decisions, treat eachother and everyone they meet with kindness and respect, decide who they are, what they want, and go for it with confidence and enthusiasm. How are any of those traits pathetic or signs of weakness or a ‘bad groupie’? I’m curious what the hell you think a ‘real groupie’ is.
And seriously how POINTLESS would an anonymous fake account with no actual recognition for the individual behind be—what’s there to gain, honestly? I don’t do this for the gain I do it for what others can get out of it. The Rock Groupie has made positive contributions to girls all over the scene—check out the Community Forum, Groupie Fashion, the Q & A section! This blog is user interactive and instead of marketing an image to the readers it encourages them to embrace their own individuality and make their own contributions to the blog and to other groupies through features like the one you chose to bash the SAMPLE PHOTO for. There is a girl on the Forum we have set up on livejournal who’s also started diaries that the girls in the forum read and talk to her about! None of those girls would’ve met eachother if it weren’t for this site—and if you are a groupie you’ll know how hard it can be to find people that ‘GET IT.’
If you’re going to throw the word pathetic into all of this use it to describe the fact that you’re taking shots in the dark with a gun loaded with ignorance and foolish assumptions and quite likely one hell of a lot of youthful naivity from behind a computer screen with no idea who i am, where i’m from, or whether or not you’d even LIKE ME if we met in person…yet here you are, making totally uneducated and false statements that have a clear intention of making me feel like shit despite the fact that you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO evidence to support ANYTHING. And yet you’re trying to tell ME I’m lying! See I know i don’t give evidence, and i’ve made the decision that the pros of that decision FAR outweigh the cons for everyone involved because i’m actually INVOLVED and have had time to think it through and therefore people like you taunting and acting like complete BRATS online don’t actually eat away at me and my happiness with both this site and who I am!
I can sit here KNOWING that what you said is 100% wrong and you totally wasted your time and energy on trying to make a seriously ignorant point. And I’m not big on people who act on emotion based on ignorance—i don’t tend to hold their opnions highly, especially when they’re strangers who’ve carelessly and without legitimate reason decided I don’t exist based on a clearly labeled sample photograph of someone’s bedside table. Really?
