Why are you anonymous? To protect both my privacy and the privacy of the bands. Because this site has gotten much bigger than I expected, this is especially important as the demand for my identity is increasing. I Want to be able to answer everyone’s questions honestly and I know I wouldn’t do that using my real identity
Why don’t you post photos of yourself? See Above.
Why don’t you post stories about the bands? I don’t want to involve them involuntarily in a project I chose for myself. Even anonymous, there is a risk of somebody discovering who it’s about and this only contributes to that risk. I want to run a great groupie blog but not at the expense of people I care about.
Where do you live? I choose not to discuss this online.
How do I get backstage passes? Start going to shows at smaller venues and support leser known bands in their musical endeavers. It’s a great way to get involved and meet new people who share the same passion for music, and the smaller venue size makes it easier to meet the band.
How do you afford it? Save up a certain percentage of every dollar you make, start buying second hand clothing, and don’t eat out, and your budget will increase wildly. Get fammilliar with websites for busses and airlines and when they have sales, and try staying in hostels if you’re travelling instead of a hotel. Your accomadation budget for a night can turn into enough for a week worth of rooms either on that trip or to save up for future ones so you’re not scrambling last minute for money.
